Raw Chocolate Cake

Raw Chocolate Cake Recipe


Cake Base Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of dried organic Walnuts
  • 2/3 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 tspn Sea Salt
  • 1 cup of Medjoul Dates (or soaked dates, hot water) pitted
    (Note: if you are using regular dates you will need to soak them for at least 1 hour; they need to be soft)

Cake Base Instructions:

  1. Thoroughly blend the walnuts and cocoa powder together in a blender (food processor preferred)
  2. Add dates to the walnut and cocoa mixture and blend until well combined
  3. Scoop the mixture out, it should be moist and easy to form into a ball
  4. Squeeze and pat it into the shape of a cake with your hands

Frosting Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup of Medjoul Dates (or soaked dates in hot water) pitted
  • 1/4 cup of Agave, Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup of ripe Avocado
  • 1/3 cup of Cocoa Powder

Frosting Instructions:

  1. Mush up the Avocado with a fork until a nice paste
  2. Blend all ingredients in a blender (food processor preferred) until well combined
  3. Scoop the mixture onto the cake base evenly

This raw chocolate cake will give you a sustained energy level boost and is great to have halfway through a long gaming session. Due to the energy your will receive, do not eat just before sleeping as it is likely to keep you awake. Also, eat in moderation and plan to have at most 1 slice during a gaming session.
